Skiing competition on the plane

The airport was rather crowded the next day. “Is everybody going to compete at Aspen Ski Resort today?” a quick, angry, and tired thought came to my head and stayed there through the whole flight. The airplane to Colorado was packed and seemed to stretch in height and width as more and more people flowed in its “rubber” walls. The most annoying situation arisen when a five-year-old kid had decided to organize a Skiing competition right between the seats on the plane (he was also fond of sport) and produced so much noise that I was left with an ill mood till the end of the flight. Shannon did not seem to be bothered by that. She was sitting near the window and thinking about something while staring at the dinosaur-shaped clouds. Not a slightest sign of nervousness before her first competition appeared on her rosy pretty face. We arrived to Aspen-Pitkin County Airport early in the morning. Shannon expressed her wish to go to see The Rocky Mountains right after breakfast, since she was always fascinated with these mountains. We took our camera and strolled up and down the Aspen Mountain, near which Cross Country Ski National Competition was organized. Walking took us three hours and by the time we got back to the hotel, we were overwhelmed with new impressions.
