Aspen was magnificent! I have never seen a more picturesque and inspiring view! The mountains were covered with the most exciting patterns of grey, white, green, blue and even gold. It seemed to me that the Nature had set a plot among its members to create the most remembering masterpiece in America from rock, snow, trees, sky, and the sun. Subconsciously people aided the Nature in its splendid creation by means of their colorful sport outfits and were glad. Lakes, rivers, and springs added an elegant transparency to the picture and they fit indeed. Animals made this making more alive and moving. Birds made any thought fly higher...

Later in the evening Shannon was taken by her coach to practice before the competition. I decided to go for another walk but this time to the center of the town of Aspen, which mountains had conquered my heart already. Aspen at night time was very lovely. Only in Miami, Florida, I had seen so many beautiful mansions in one area so near to each other. I had heard from someone before that Aspen was a very popular destination and residence of many Hollywood talents and other famous people. The “stars’” houses took all kinds of classical and or modern forms and really described the mix of styles in the 21st century. In addition, the streets of Aspen were quite small and cozy and were sheltered by very tasty restaurants. There were a couple of coffee houses down the street, too, which reflected the European presence in the town. And as soon as Shannon returned from her training, I told her that it was a must for us to walk in the town once more sometimes.
